I dunno.
On the one hand, it's nice to give DMs more options.
But on the other hand, it's replacing creativity with accounting. 3.x suffered from monsters almost literally needing to be created with spreadsheets in order to be properly balanced and all that.
I mean, if you are familiar with RPG Superstar from Paizo, when it comes to the monster design time, most of them flub it, and get told "Don't worry, we have a spreadsheet to do the math"
When that is required, I think there is something wrong with the game. Designing new monsters should be an art, not a science.
