Fizban too. Szass Tam. Actually if you count the SCAG a bunch of FR fameous Archemages get mentioned, like Nezram World Walker, Laerel Silverhand, the latest Blackstaff, Larloch, Ioun, etc...

FR is kind of know for its fameous Archmages.
Possibly, Fizban aka Platinum Dragon.

Similarly, I prefer to conceptualize Corellon as an Epic Tier Wizard, even if a primordial elven one.

Well, they fired Mike Mearls, which from the Manganiello video was not a good idea. Interesting.
Has nothing to do with the size of the staff. Mearls wasn't fired from WOTC, he was moved to D&D licensing and then to MTG and then resigned recently to pursue other projects. Mearls moved from the game to licensing (he worked with Larian for example) a LONG time ago. His replacement has even left the company after Spelljammer that is how long it has been.

They were a solid team, but I think the current team is pretty solid still.
Cox isn't quite the same level as creative as Mearls, Mike was a great spokesman for the game and building bridges between old and new fans but he certainly gives it the old college try if it weren't for the out of context quotes I think he would have a higher regard. Winninger was a change in approach to the game, not for the better I think which is a shame because he's a darn good game designer.

Who's the replacement that left after Spelljammer? I thought Crawford and Perkins became the chief rules architects, which is the equivalent to Mearls's role as Lead Game Designer until Tasha's.
