(VERY OT) I'm thinking about getting an X-Box...

The XBOX is good for Halo, if nothing else. Like the other person that posted about it, I've never been a FPS fan, but Halo hooked me. It's amazing for multiplayer game.

Halo 2 will be Xbox exclusive, and so is Half-Life 2 (though Half-Life will be PC as well, of course). Xbox's online component is $50 per year (as opposed to Sony's $50 when you buy it and never play again), but the online games run *very* well.

Knights of the Old Republic, the amazing-looking Star Wars RPG will be coming out very soon, and is Xbox only as well.

BC is Xbox only, and looks like some kind of hominid-sim. The game apparently features a very in-depth game ecosystem.

Fable is Xbox only. IGN called it the game "that could well challenge Halo 2 for Game of the Year 2004." It's an RPG that aims to have the most interactive NPCs ever. Cool.

So, in sumary, now is a good time to be getting an Xbox. It really is a nice system.

Well, I picked up an X-Box and Halo... to say I'm happy with it so far, doesn't quite do justice to the word "Happy". :)

Of course, I was in the Marathon and Marathon 2 Beta test team for Bungie, and I'm a huge fan of that series... so basicly playing it's sequel in Halo has put a massive smile on my face :).

If you go to http://www.thief-thecircle.com/missions/

Look for the highest rated missions. IM and the Calendra ones are excellent, and I've played through those. Calendra has a bit of adult 'cheesecake', though, so if you're playing with kids, be warned.

Thanks.

Oh, the full Xbox live starter set costs $70 (that's one year sub plus the headset), $50 for a year sub as already mentioned or $6 per month and the voice communicator is $30 on it's own. That's as of 5/8.
