(OOC: Barkskin also wore off. Took 2 minutes to get there)
*Whinoah fires two rather weak but accurate shots. The thorny creature knits and heals, then leaps forward in a thorny pounce, attacking with its two long tentacles, two under-tendrils, and a bite. Only one attack connects with Whinoah, though, since she dodges and deflects against her hardened skin.*
(OOC: Critter takes 20 Damage, but heals 8, so 12.

(OOC: That includes DR--just a heads-up, but this thingy has Pounce, so you may actually be safer firing in melee and denying it the two tendrils rakes)

*Whinoah shoots three times, and though the creature flails its tendrils, it is unable to connect with her.*

(OOC: Wow, another crit)
*Whinoah takes a blow from the tentacle as she nocks her bow, but with a powerful blow and two follow-ups, she finishes the creature off. A warm light is released over the shrine, and Whinoah feels refreshed and stronger, though this time her spells don't end or come back.*
(OOC: HP back, level up! +5 HP, Distracting Beauty (Enemies looking at her get -4 to other Spot and Listen checks), and her spells are now 5/4/3/1 (forgot bonus spells last time, but she gets none for level 3 spells))
