Viscious Weapons and DR

Does the extra damage done by a viscious weapon (on either side) penetrate DR?

On the one hand, its not energy damage, it just added on to the base so I could see it not penetrating DR. On the other hand, does that mean wearing an adamantine full plate gives me DR 3/- against the 1d6 it does in feedback?

I think he means it's not one of the Five Flavours of energy - Acid, Fire, Electric, Cold or Rasberry.

However, it is described as energy... I'd treat it like the extra damage from Shocking or Flaming weaponry - it's just raw, untyped energy dmage. So it penetrates DR and energy resistances.
