Vorpal Arrows?

Has anyone seen Princess Mononoke and how the hero's arrows had a vorpal-like enchantment on the samurai he fired upon? Would it be a bit overpowered if this ability was placed on bows and crossbows?

Apart from the fact that Vorpal normally only can be used with slashing melee weapons and besides the fact that the Vorpal enhancement is overpowered in itself, yes, I think it would be very overpowered.

Not really........just make the save DC fairly low, like 10 or 15.

Save? Vorpal doesn't allow a save. It just splatters your 500 hp fighter across the landscape.

YOu could just make the arrows of slaying decapitate as well.

You can GIVE them a save, but I'm pretty sure there is some kind of save........but like I said, if not, you can give it one. You can even use Neverwinter Nights as an example. The vorpal in the game HAS a save.
