My personal opinion: They're all ugly as sin. Why, oh, why would you make every choice transparent!?! Some people prefer NOT to see the inside of the controller. Other than that, I'd say green wins by default since it's the only one that matches the color scheme.

If only they'd make the old "big" controller in these crazy colors.

I have no use, need, or desire for the Controller-S, regardless of color.

w00t! Another person who feels that way!

I could car less about he color(green by the way), but bring back big, and find a better place for the white and black buttons.(my preference put them level with the other buttons sort of like street fighter config but tilted.

I'll take a clear one. Or not. Feh.

While I couldn't care less about the color of my controller, I would like to have those silly B&W buttons in a place where I won't either pound on them by accident (Controller-S) or not be able to reach them properly (Original Controller). Give me the standard 2 row, 3 button layout with some analog triggers and I'm happy. This alt.button setup isn't doing it for me...

I don't really care if its the big or small controller but it sounds like we mostly agree.

Another thing I would like is to have the buttons less rounded on the top. My fingers tend to slip off. Small hands. :)

Admittedly, I've only used both XBOX controllers briefly, but I tend to lean toward the S-type (playing a tight game of Tony Hawk with the original is kind of a chore, IMO). The original really reminds me of the Dreamcast controller, as well, which never grew on me and felt kinda cheap compared to previous Sega controllers... again, IMO.

just another sad attempt by Microsoft to sell something.

You guys DO know that there will be no X-Box 2, right? For 2 ery good reasons.

Just so far this year alone, Microsoft has lost 2 BILLION dollars in x-box sales. Every x-box sold is a $100 loss to microsoft. They havew virtually NO exclusive games. And even so, those that they DO have are not worth the plastic they are made of.

Just some input, but I'd say the clear/white one looks the coolest.;)

Saying there will be no Xbox 2 or any follow-up by the company with another console is pure speculation and nothing more. They expected to lose money up front on each system sold. And what makes money isn't just systems sold or exclusive games. No, they don't have as many exclusive games as Sony or Nintendo but that doesn't mean they are not making money off games and other things like Xbox Live. And don't forget that they make a killing off every controller or remote sale.

And yes, they are trying to make money, but nobody really cares about the colors of the controllers. All the other companies are doing it, so what does it matter if Microsoft puts it to a vote. I mean they obviously have no idea what they are doing. That company NEVER makes any money off the products they produce.

Everything John said... Microsoft knew going into this that they would make no money off the console itself.

But anyhow, who cares? I'm certainly not going to base my game-buying decisions on if there will be a another version system... Hell, the best gaming console of all time is the Dreamcast, which had no sequal.
