OOC: Ha, I was updating this when company was coming, and then I forgot about it.

Aiken sneaks into the room quietly. This was obviously once a play area, with three other hallways branching off. The ceiling is only seven feet up, and is made of harsh granite. The whole room is lit by a single lantern.

Toys lay scattered about the room, as well as a large number of stolen goods - breads, foods, and copper and silver coins. The walls were once carved religious iconography, but they have long since been `painted` by a child`s hand.

Chalk carvings can be seen throughout the room, in a variety of colours.

Each hallway is dark. The room is deathly quiet.

A single, shiny orb sits on top of a wooden nightstand - the only piece of furniture that has not been knocked over. The orb seems to be emitting a small amount of light.

"I think It's our turn. Cepheus you up for some stalking?" Whispers Aiken.
"The rest just stay back, unless we yell for help, we'll scout ahead and return with news."

Aiken proceeds to slowly and quietly move towards the light. Hide and Move Silently (1d20+6=18, 1d20+6=17)

Cepheus has a moment of hesitation
OOC: sorry for the delay in posting
Right behind youCepheus whispers as he moves forward with Aiken to help with checking for traps. He will move with Aiken as he is admittedly not the best at finding traps.

hide=13, move silently=16

inattentive trap checking=8

Neither of you seem to locate any true traps, although Aiken is able to get the feeling that there's something strange about that glowing orb (duh). Both Cepheus and Aiken can easily tell that while the place is usually a mess, it seems to be even more of one than usual right now, as evidenced by the spilled liquids in one corner of the room (water?), and a torn stuffed animal, the feathery down scattered all around.

Aiken also finds a tiny arrowhead, attached to a broken arrow shaft, lying on the floor.

Each of the hallways leads down into darkness that Aiken cannot see into. Although, when looking down the one opposite the passage he entered by, he thinks he may have heard the sound of muffled crying.

Aiken pockets the arrow head and motions Cepheus closer and whispers "I think I hear some muffled cries coming from there" as he points to the opposing hallway.

Aiken moves over to the side of that hallway, still sneaking. He keeps as far away from the glowing orb as possible.

Pendrake looks aboout the room he and the others are still in and upon seeing the orb he asks, "Solange, vas ist das?" he uses his sword to point with at said orb

Cepheus whispers back to Aiken. I think we should go a ways to check it out, but have the rest of the group stay in this room to watch the other corridor and the way we came. Perhaps we should cover that orb, it makes me nervous.

"That is a good idea. Look what I found" Aiken shows Cepheus the arrow head.
"If you cover it up I'll show this to the rest"

Aiken turns to the group as they enter and show them the arrow head.
"Anyone knows what this is?"

Cepheus looks about the floor for some piece of blanket or anything that would cover the orb. Carefull not to touch the orb he drops the material over it. Cringing a bit half expecting it to grow into some creature and chop him up into pieces.
