The group quickly dashes their way through Orussus' streets, cutting quickly through narrow alleys as they follow Hukk. He is numb at first as he moves, but as he remembers the back alleys, he regains some of his usual step. Within ten minutes, he is busy "casting spells" to ward off "shadow spirits" that hide in abandoned houses and drainpipes. Each "spell" takes him only a second or so to cast, as he is obviously rushing through them on the quest to the temple.
The rain is coming down hard, and through your whole travel, you perhaps see three people, each busily running to cover. The wind picks up to a gale, and you can hear distant strikes of lightning coming in from the sea, coming ever closer...
By the time you reach the temple, the "temple moms" rush out to greet you. A young priestess addresses you.
"Thank the mother you're here! The town's under attack by... goblins! They've been attacking houses scattered throughout the city! And there's a whole group of them, down at the docks! Most of the faithful have been out, trying to get the kids off the streets - but that damnable rain is making things hard!"
"You say Tomas is at the docks!? That poor boy! The... the mother told me to allow you access to our scroll library - you'll be needing it!"
She looks at Pendrake, who is still dizzy, and digs through a cupboard, throwing him a potion. "Drink this draught - it will help."
And, of course, it does. Pendrake's poisoning is a thing of the pass (no more Dex penalty!)
Hukk, now grinning and in the spirit of adventure once more, pokes Pendrake in the side and says loudly "I'm going with you! We have to save Tomas!"
OOC: You can each pick two first level scrolls, and one second level scroll (or 3 1st level scrolls). They must be divine spells. And, for the sake of speeding up play, they can be instantly cast, the second you get it.
While you're all still hurt, of course, Solange has a wand that should be able to heal whoever is harmed.
If you don't want scrolls (or can't use them!), you can instead take any single potion, worth up to 150 g.p. in value. Again, the potion must be a divine spell - this is, after all, a temple's store.
