Yeah, it seems like everyday a new game pops up. None of them seem to die, either. I always ensure that I'm subscribed to all the threads concerning all the games I'm in, and usually don't actually wade through the IC forum itself. I've found that using the subscription thing works a lot nicer.

I check daily at a minimum, and it hasn't gotten so crowded that threads fall off in a day... yet.

What I do is have shortcuts on my desktop to all potential games I'm looking at joining, and I use my sig catalogue to cruise and see if any current game has lulled.

I can't imagine subscribing to 18+ threads in this forum...

Well I organized myself by requesting that a moderator sticky a thread to the top of the forum so that everyone can cruise to all the good games quickly. I just wish everyone else would post their games there, so it could be the "complete" guide to the IC forum.

I'm just slightly irked by the mod's comments there. It almost seems like they are irritated by this forum and aren't watching it at all... I requested in the Meta forum that we get someone who's here a lot to be a mod here in the IC forum, but it was ignored.

Well, maybe not ignored, but no-one (other than garyh) commented on it...

[Edit - I'm not saying anything bad about the mods, and I am aware that there are only a few mods spread out over a dozen or so forums, but I am trying to express my opinion that we need a mod that is specifically a mod for the IC forum.]

I'm always open to running any kind of thing. I'm good about accomodating players. What exactly were you interested in playing GW, I'd likely be able to accomodate for my next game... if I ever get the chance. Just mention the theme and I'll tell you if I can or not.

1 - Agreed.

2 - I enjoy whipping character concepts out of thin air. But I'm still looking for a place to play a PsyWar. Lotsa people in this forum don't like psionics.

3 - Yeah, when you were my age, you had to walk to the IC Forum ten miles through the snow uphill each way without shoes.

One moderator that I know helps out around here is Darkness, and I know Piratecat was once around, back when he ran Iconics. If you need something, you can always PM or email Darkness, but I've never tried PC. Dinkeldog did give us our organization thread, but I've never seen anyone else post. They are stretched rather thin.

Yeah, there is a need for an IC mod. Until Darkness joined the upcoming Hivemind game and Dinkeldog put up the sticky, I'd NEEEEEEEEVER seen a mod in here. Now, I like to think that it's because we're good boys and girls, but occasionally, there IS need that doesn't seem to be noticed.

As for the sticky, I don't think to use it because of my sig...

The main concept that I want to use is a blind, elven telepath. The idea was inspired by this image. However, the poem on the next image fits the character more.

However, most DMs aren't interested in allowing psionics, so the idea has mostly just sat there. I've considered trying to do the concept with magic, but it just doesn't feel right...
