Me, I last heard the whole thing was up in the air. Not that I have a stake in it, but I figured my lurking woulda turned up something before this.

Is this not the result of the open call? Forgive me for my ignorance, if so. I was just hoping some lucky EN Worlder was writing the book and we'd hear about it.

The War-Torn Open Call was for book four in the series. This is merely book one. Of course, it's fairly well accepted that the author has been chosen, just not publicly announced.
