Warhammer RPG, Gotta love it

Also, I picked up the Old World Beastiary yesterday, and I loved it! They really describe a lot of the creatures, their world, their views, etc. They give lots of stats for different types of monsters, undead (vampires are nasty!) and give a bigger, more robust mutation chart. I thought I was going to hate it, wow, was I shocked! Great book, hardback, $30.00. Money well spent!

Well our first group of adventurers died a most horrific death. The players (me and 2 friends) are still in what we haved the dubbed "The D&D Mentality". Combat is way more dangerous and requires an even greater emphasis on teamwork. We are learning. But this "D&D Mentality" is also affecting the GM. You just can't throw 8 goblins on a group then another combat that night if you really want them to survive for long. Like I said after 2 weeks we are all still learning but all having tons of fun.

Next up, I try my hand at GMing.

So far the new group consists of an

Elven Apprentice Wizard (our first look at the magic system in action)

A human Rat Catcher who lucked out and has 10!!!!! dead rats.

A Halfling Servant (My NPC who will turn to a PC after I am done running my little adventure)

I think that this is written by Graeme Morris. In addition to being one of the original designers of WFRP, Morris is the author and co-author of some of the best modules in D&D history: B10 ("Night's Dark Terror"); UK2-3 (the "Alderweg" series -- "The Sentinel" and "The Gauntlet"); UK 4 ("When A Star Falls"); and others.

You probably mixed up Graeme Morris with Graeme Davis.

Cheers!

It's pretty cool. The best parts are the quotes by a Skaven "scholar" who recommends the best poison to use for each creature...
Yes, yes it is. Format for the Bestiary is interesting, player part which is NPC information about the creatures what a player would hear when talking about the monster and then the DM and stat area ;).

Yeah, you're right.

Jim Bambra, Phil Gallagher and Graeme Morris wrote B10 ("Night's Dark Terror"). Jim Bambra wrote UK 6, and Bambra and Gallagher cowrote UK7.

Since Bambra and Gallagher were also involved with the design of WFRP 1ed, I just assumed that the 'Graeme' in question was Morris, given their previous work together at UK TSR.
