Warhammer RPG, Gotta love it

It's pretty cool. The best parts are the quotes by a Skaven "scholar" who recommends the best poison to use for each creature...

I'm going to get it next week as a gift to myself. My final MA revisions from my associate supervisior arrived today, so I can't buy it until I do those. When the glue is drying on my binding, I'll buy the book and spend the weekend in bed reading it.

Given that eight releases for WFRP are planned this year alone (!!!), I don't recommend this to anyone who doesn't have a really big budget.

On the other hand, if you can find the old "The Enemy Within" campaign (1st edition, but it should be little hassle to convert), snap it up immediately...

Actually, last weekend I went garage sailing, and I actually found that book, and it was only 50 cents. Needless to say, I bought it and it was well the worth the price, I would have paid 5 times as much!

I'd have paid twenty times as much. Wait, I already have - I have all the books up to "Power Behind the Throne".

Congratulations!

Question for Jurgen (sorry, no umlaut)...It's been awhile since I have used my German, can I use bruderbund for the word "order" (as in "The Order of the White Panther")?

Thanks,

Morpheus

Is The Enemy Within campaign just one book?

One player in our group has the german version of it, and there it's three books.

Its more than one book. Originally it was several smaller books "Mistaken Identity", "Shadows Over Bögenhafen", "Death on the Reik", which were then compiled into the Warhammer Campaign book. But thats not the complete Enemy Within campaign.

"Power Behind the Throne" is the next installment, which was a small book in addition to the Middenheim city guide. Those were later combined into one big book, which I own but dont recall the title .. or was it "City of Chaos"?

There is Something Rotten in Kislev after that, but honestly, that one sucks. A huge detour with little to offer. Last part is The Empire in Flames, which was a big HC.

So as I see it, the Enemy Within is the three big books combined + Kislev. I never owned the last part, but I heard it sucked hard. I've GMed the first two parts and they were excellent (I mean the first two big books - Campaign and City of Chaos). Hmm .. I did GM Kislev too, but those bad memories are mostly supressed :\

There are six modules in the set...

Borrowed it from a friend, his version had 5 books - the first one containing 2 modules.

Good stuff though. Plenty to 'flatter'. :)

Ah, if only they had finished it with the whole Empire in Flames bit...
