Water, water everywhere, Nor any drop to drink

Necessary for what?

I would like to play a full warlord in 5e.
Some people, I'm sure, would like to play all manner of things not found in 5e. There are games and/or editions that better handle those needs.

I don't care enough to try.
Cummon... Are you sure you just don't want to say it?

I have tried them. And i found them lacking.

That's why i'm on this forum.
Thus the premise of this thread and my observations to that end.

Why are you here?
...he says to someone in their own thread.

Then you agree that the 5e warlord options are lacking?
Hrmmm. If that's your interpretation of my original post, it may be an indicator as to why you are struggling to express yourself clearly.

I strongly encourage you to go back to the OP and reread it. Don't just skim it. Then come back here are see if that helps you hold up your side of the conversation.

Well let me try again using your own metaphor.

I want a glass of water.

The only option i have is salt water, brine water, and ocean water.

Those do not quench my thirst.

Nope. What is actually happening, if we remain true to my analogy, is that you see various glasses of water and refuse to drink any of them because you perceive* them to be salt water, brine water, and ocean water. If you actually bothered to take the time to taste them, you might find at least one of them is potable. But you would rather hem and haw that you are thirsty than bother to actually quench your thirst.

I assure you, you do not know what is actually happening.

I have played the battlemaster, PDK, and mastermind.

If you say so. I'm allowed to take your claim with a grain of salt based on all the posts from you I've read on these boards.

But, irregardless, if what you say is true, then maybe 5e just isn't for you. And that's totally okay. There are other systems and/or editions that are better suited to scratch your particular itch. I can name one in particular that provides exactly what you are looking for in a warlord.

You might want more then a grain, since you can't seem to taste salt. :p

Why can a marshal not exsist in 5e?

Heh. Yeah. But my blood pressure! You're killing me!

Why can a marshal not exsist in 5e?
So its marshal now? What happened to the 4e warlord you've been clamoring for these months?

And, once more, what makes you think it doesn't already? As I am still not entirely sure what all a marshal can do without digging up my ol' MHB, sounds like, to me, a battlemaster with the soldier background and probably the inspiring leader feat. Done. 5e marshal. Easy-peasy.

I, and other's, have been clamoring for a non-magical support class.
I don't care what it's name is. I don't care what edition, or game, it draws it's inspiration from.

I've spent the entire thread attempting to inform you.

The water is too salty.

The battlemaster is too fightery. I can't play one as a support class. I have to spend the majority of the time multi-attacking.
Same with PDK.
Mastermind at least allows me to support every turn, but it doesn't scale with multi-attack and still becomes a secondary part of the character.

And i've tried multi-classing as well. Battlemaster 3/Mastermind 3 mostly works, but only for a few levels (roughly 6-10). Before or after i need to resort to hitting things.
