Yes, I am the authority on what i want.
This thread is not about what you want. I should know, I started it.

If you are here to speak only to what mellored wants, I will remind you that you can go homebrew your warlord class at any time and have fun playing it at your table. Assuming you can find a DM willing to allow it...

Now, are you done trying to derail the thread and ready to get back on topic?

You said that there is enough warlrods in 5e.
I disagreed. And explained why.

You told me my perception is wrong, that i did not have enough understanding to feel that way, and that i have no authority to feel that way.
I disagreed. And attempted to explain why.

What part was off topic?

The part where you keep trying to drag your 4e-isms into 5e. No matter how many people tell you its easier for you to just go play 4e if that's what you prefer.

Because that's the only reason there isn't enough warlord in 5e. Because you keep looking at it through your 4e glasses. Thus why your perception is the issue. The essence of warlords exist in 5e. @Jester Canuck (and others) have pointed that out to you repeatedly. Just as the essence of every class that was brought forward. Just like. As in, none of the other classes were whole-cloth 4e imports. So why should your warlord be any different. Instead, the devs gave you the essence. The feel. Because, like all the other classes, that's the important part.

But by all means, keep flailing and demanding your 4e warlord. See how long it takes for you to get what you want. In the meantime, we are playing 5e (with 5e warlords is in it) and having fun.

Also, if your perception leads you to believe there isn't any "real" warlords in 5e, and this thread is all about problems with one's perception being the issue with why one cannot see all the warlords in 5e, um....

You continue to be wrong.

You might want to take a look at your own perception.

I am not demanding a 4e warlord.
I want a full 5e martial support class.

I'm not sure why this is so hard for you to understand.

Maybe because "support classes" don't exist in 5e.
There are support characters in 5e. You can build a character designed to support its allies in 5e. But the classes themselves are role independent.

Perhaps not support-only classes, but clerics and bards are very support-focused classes.

Ok...

I still can't build a martial support character.

Except the valor bard is very offence based, and the bard in general can be built into one of the best archers in the game.
And only half the cleric domains are support heavy, with many being focused on damage or tanking.

You mean like the mastermind rogue? Or the Purple Dragon Knight?

The Battle Master fighter can also be support. Taking the Protection Fighting Style helps the AC of others, Action Surge can be used for the Help action as well as the maneuvers Commander's Strike, Distracting Strike, Maneuvering Attack, Rally, and Trip attack. Pair those with the Healer and Inspiring Leader feats and you're focused on helping.
