I don't own the DMG and am running from memory alone, but...
How about working with the 'spell points' (instead of 'spell slots') system?

I don't see why, the Ki system fits, and it works fine for spell and non spell effects. And it's already attached to a system that would be similar to wht the Jedi do.

Ok check out Elegant Weapon change regarding Deflect Missiles.

I also took out the limitation on Mage Hand.

You may use your Ki to empower the weapon further. For 1 Ki you may empower your weapon with a +1 bonus that lasts for 1 minute. At 9th level you may spend 2 Ki to similarly empower your weapon with a +2 bonus, and at level 15 this increases to 3 Ki and +3.

Also at third level you gain the cantrip Mage Hand.

Absolutely love the feeling of this, very well done! Have just a couple suggestions.

Double the Ki cost of empower, or make it concentration based.

Make the mage hand invisible.

Yeah, you're right. It's been bugging me that it's too much for too little. Done.

I might also suggest that the ki cost for suggestion is a bit low. Seems like 2 points would be more line with similar abilities.

And I'd second the motion to make the mage hand invisible.

I'm tempted to rename "Elegant Weapon" to "Ancient Weapon", so that the first two abilities are Hokey Religion and Ancient Weapon

I think that's a good idea :)

Rules question: can you activate your weapon when it's not your turn? In response, for instance, to being targeted by magic missile? My answer would be yes :)

Deflect Missiles is a reaction, and Elegant...I mean Ancient...Weapon is a free action, so that would be a yes. But if you do it you have to post a video.

If you're takin votes, I vote yes!

Was wondering, would it be too much work, or monkey wrench the whole the thing, to give it a list of new Ki features at lvl 3, balanced with the normal monk ki abilities, and rather than things like suggestion at level X, a list of Force Powers that runs like a better balanced version of the Elemental Monk? Obv some would have minimum levels, and you gain more as you level?

Just a thought. If it doesn't appeal, and I can't shake the notion, I can always make my own that can stand right along side yours.

Also, what if Ancient weapon references a weapon type, and you stat out those weapons? then, a more Force Adept type using his can still attune a regular weapon with the feature? Idk not a big difference either way, just a thought.

I thought about something like this. As was suggested up-thread, "Telekinesis" is an obvious fit. What are some other spells that would be good fits?

Not totally following this. Can you elaborate?

The one thing I don't like in the current Ancient Weapon is that it doesn't require you to make the weapon.
