WC3 RPG: what does collective fury do?

DemonAtheist

First Post
Colective Fury:
Benefit: when a character with collective fury rages, all other characters who have the ability to rage gain the benefits of the battle cry feat. Multiple battle cry effects do not stack.

Battle Cry:
Benefit: As a move action, you can sound a battle cry that strikes fear into the hearts of your opponents. Each foe within 30 feet of you at the time of the battle cry must make a will save... .A foe who fails this saving throw suffers a -2 morale penalty to attack rolls, will saves, and AC for 1 round. This penalty does not stack unless a character with collective fury is involved in the battle.

am i missing something? These seem entirely contradictory

It means that when someone with Collective Fury rages, all his buddies are treated as if they have the Battle Cry feat. If they all use their Battle Cry, this means all their enemies within the given area of effect have to make saves or suffer the -2 morale penalty. If the person with Collective Fury has, say, 10 buddies around him, and they all use Battle Cry, then the enemies would (potentially) have to make 10 saves. Furthermore, since all these battle cries are the result of someone with Collective Fury, all the penalties would stack (normally they wouldn't).
