For example, discuss forms where people post custom D&D Content, Fan-websites and the like.
If this is supposed to read "discussion forums," I wouldn't worry about it. In Merica, anyway. WotC's not going to revoke the first amendment of the constitution .

It occurs to me that a new OGL might be problematic for some websites, or sections of them.
So, they might take those sections down to avoid headaches (if not close up all together).

For example, discuss forms where people post custom D&D Content, Fan-websites and the like.

So, I'm making a list of websites I am planning to download/update my copy of as a 'just in case'.
If that occurs, I'll look into putting them online on places like Mega, or even via Torrents

Here is the list below of websites I have book marked that are still active.
If anyone can think of websites that should be saved, please add them.

Please note - with Discussion forms, it would just be the sections with custom D&D/D20/Pathfinder 1e/related content. I suppose I could do 4e and 5e as well, even if I don't personally use them.

I shudder to think how many terabytes of data that would add up to....

Irrespective of whether WotC actually attempts to do anything against websites, there is always the risk of the owners just taking them down to avoid problems, or because their interpretation of events is that their site is no longer permitted, or once they receive a complaint from WotC, or just because they've grown tired of running them and this seems like a good reason to finally close up shop. I still remember a much smaller internet when Issaries published its new and confusing fan policy leading to a lot of RuneQuest and/or Glorantha websites disappearing in a short space of time (before some contrite clarification made it clear that the new policy didn't really mean what most people thought it meant).

It's not nearly as intimidating as it sounds. Just do the download, and then zip it.
Compression of HTML/TXT based documents is roughly 7:1
Yeah, graphics run up the size a bit, but that's not to bad.

The 3 Downloads I did of the WOTC Discussion forms, compressed as a Zip, take up just over 3 GB.
The last one I did of Enworld takes up just under 3.5GB, and is 22 on drive uncompressed.
GITP takes just under 400MB zipped,
RPGdotNet takes 2.1 GB zipped,

I believe teh new one is PB instead of TB

by the time the next edition change comes our lap tops will have PB

Edit: when I started playing D&D my first computer didn't have memory... you loaded discs in to load programs, and then you put discs in to save to.... I was a bit into 2nd edition when I got one that ran windows and had several KB on it's hard drive...

Do you really think the higher ups will care if they think they can make money suing people?
They can't "make money" suing people.

Hiring proper lawyers, building a proper case, going to court, and so on, even if the other side didn't even turn up would likely cost WotC far, far more than the amount of damages they could realistically extract from any of these websites.

They might sue some for the deterrent value or even just out of general malice, but they sure as hell aren't going to be suing them to "make money".
