D&D (2024) Weapon Mastery Cleave - what can you add to the cleave damage die roll

The text says you cannot add your stat bonus unless it's negative, but what can you add? The weapon's plus? The weapon's special property damage (bane, flaming, thunder, etc)? Sneak Attack (or similar) dice? Radiant damage from Paladin?

Everything apart from your (+) ability modifier. Similar to 5.0 duel wielding without the fighting style. Only 2H weapons have cleave, it's to make up for not being able to duel wield them. Exceptions being things that specify "once per turn", such as sneak attack. And a smite spell would be discharged by the first hit of course. Treat it pretty much like "Extra Attack", apart from the ability score thing.

Is bane a thing in 5.5e?

So the extra smite damage doesn't carry over?
Not the way divine smite works in the 2024 rules, no. You hit the target, then immediately use a bonus action to do the smite damage. A DM might rule that since the casting of divine smite (explicitly) and the second attack (implicitly) must both immediately follow the original hit, you can’t use both.

A spell like Spirit Shroud, which applies to all your attacks, would apply to both attacks though.
