At least that's some good news...sadly, I do have some other friends and family around Sarasota and such. Somehow I doubt I'll hear from them for a while.

My parents live in Sarasota and they said it never got any worse than a bad Florida summer thunderstorm. Luck (for them anyway) it hit south and the storm bands were pretty spent by the time they swung around back to them.

Hope everyone down that way was as fortunate as they were.
