I prefer WFRPv2 it because I loved WFRPv1, and the WFRPv2 rules were an improvement to that. WFRP is also my go to game when running fast and loose, since the sensibilities (or lack thereof) of the Old World fits me.

So the rules are an update of an old favourite of mine, and I love the setting.

So WFRPv2 for me.

I like WFRP because I like the dark humor, the horror, and the heroic feel to it. Mechanically, it plays fast, and there are lots of advancement options without a lot of complexity in character design. It has a great style to it.

RQII is good and all, but honestly, there is a level at which many systems, particularly stripped down percentile systems, leave me thinking, "Ok, this does the job, but it's not any more dynamic than GURPS, and far less versatile." I do like the gonzo RQ style fantasy, though.

I prefer Warhammer. Big shocker there eh?

I like the humor, grit, and I've spent a pretty penny getting the books. I also love the system and setting an awful lot.

I'm a big fan of the WFRP setting, but the mechanics have always been rather meh for me. They did make some improvements in the system with 2e, but not all of the changes were good, IMO.

Previous editions of RQ never appealed to me at all, but the new MRQ2 has a lot of things I really like. When I get around to running WFRP again I won't hesitate to use MRQ2.

It's no contest: definitely MRQII.

If the question had been WFRP 3e vs. MRQII it would have been a more difficult choice, since WFRP 3e includes some intriguing new game mechanics. Given the choice between actually playing one or the other, I'd still have chosen MRQII.

I also dislike the Warhammer setting, btw., particularly the overabundance of Pseudo-German words, but that's probably because I am German.

I can see why that would bother a german, what with the puns and all. :)

WFRP 2e for me. I love the setting and the rules are simple but work out very well. I've even looked for conversions to use the Cadwallon setting with the 2e rules system.
