What are you looking forward to most at this years GenCon?

I was just thinking that 2003 will be a great GenCon and already we are seeing a lot of topics about it....so what are you waiting for?

Playing?
Meeting designers?
Getting new product (like Malhavocs AU-and our adventure for it)?
ENnies?
Getting new dice?
All of the above or none?


What is making you click your heels and wish for July and saying "there is no place like Indy"? (say it three times for full effect)

i want to check out the Wal-Mart situation in Indy. There are some real big ones here in Florida, but the one back home isn't very impressive. I'd really like to see how Indy's stack up.

Either that or buy a bunch of stuff, meeting cool people, going to the Ennies, and playin so fly games.

I go to GenCon for the overall experience (hard to define, but amazing nonetheless), the dealers' room, to spend con time with my friends, and to game. I usually spend almost as much time in the dealers' room as I do gaming -- but I wouldn't go if I couldn't game as well. Strange, I know.

I also love getting new dice, and I'm hoping the Chessex bowl o'dice pickings look better this year. As a T-shirt and jeans guy, most of my T-shirts come from GenCon, so it's always nice to top up my wardrobe.

After playing in the D&D Open last year, I am stoked to take another crack at it this year. We had a good shot at making it into the finals, but I blew it. Redemption awaits.

I'm also looking forward to seeing other EN Worlders, either by chance or by design.

...so the short answer would be "all of the above."

i love buying dice, plus my current batch have abandoned me (5 2s just on spellcraft rolls in a 3 minute preiod, yikes!)

the convention floor is just plain FUN!

being out of my home for a whole weekend? need i say more?

but most of all
the thing that i can't wait to do is,
play in the continuation of Leopold's Against the Giants pickup game!!!!! wooohooooooo!!!!!!!!! that was the best time i had at GenCon last year!

so um ... you ARE running it ..... right? i'm brining more players this year
