Yes, it's clearly a major influence which is why I was interested. It's the source for Law and Chaos and regenerating trolls and features familiar D&D creatures like dwarves, goblins, kobolds, giants, dragons, unicorns, and nixies.

Three Hearts is definitely his most influential work on the creation of D&D, but for my money The Broken Sword is the better book.

I forgot to say the protagonist of "Three Hearts" seems to be the inspiration for the paladin class.

I am still in pandemic mode of not really in the mindset for sitting down to read for a while at a time non-professionally but I am currently in the middle of a Scarred Lands anthology of short stories of hugely variable quality in writing. Also I am part way into H.R. Haggard's People of the Mist.

And a few gaming books, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything and Hyperconscious Explorations in Psionics.
