What are you reading? [July]

Moorcock's "The Sailor on the Seas of Fate." This is the book where the Elric myth cycle really launches. I'm very much enjoying the re-read.

Just finished the Return of the Archwizards trilogy for the Forgotten Realms. I have to admit, I've really, really disliked Troy Denning's work in the past, but it's been a long time since I read anything by him. He did a pretty good job with this series; he still has the supremely annoying habit of dropping new details into the narrative that come out of nowhere (with the assumption you knew it all the time), but the plot was gripping, and the characters were interesting.

I'm reading the Archwizards anthology book right now. Just read your story this morning on the train, Paul; I enjoyed it!

Next up will likely be re-reading Piratecat's story hour. I may also start re-reading Brust's Taltos novels in anticipation of the new book next month!

Just finished reading Chainfire, which was the tail end of some voracious consumption of the whole Wizard's First Rule series by Goodkind. I'm probably taking the month off and doing more work on my campaign.

I'm currently reading Desolation Island, by Patrick O'Brien. Next up is the Davinci Code, as I just saw the movie last night.

I'm trying to get Trail of the Black Wyrm, the second in the Taladas Dragonlance novels, but nobody seems to have it.

Just finished General Pharmacology yesterday, so I should have some free time until next semester to read something other than textbooks! I've been eyeing the House of Nicolo series by Dorothy Dunnett, but some historical fiction can get dry. Any recommendations for a fantasy book or series? :D

Just finished Jhereg. Good read. I'm thinking I'll start one of the next books from the series. Maybe go find an eventually read the next two Shadowrun novels.

Just read the first two books of The Tears of Artoman (I think I got the series right ...) by Sarah Ash ...

they were okay, and I'll definitely take the next one out of the local library when it comes out (library's rock)
