What are you wearing to the ENnies?

The Gelflings will be handing out trophies on stage, so will be wearing matching powder blue gowns.

I just scored myself a little black dress for $4CDN, some cool "happy bunny" black gloves with pink stripes, and am borrowing a hot pink shawl from my mother-in-law. If I can get used to walking in them again, I hope to wear a pair of shiny, calf-height black boots that have 4" platforms and 8" heels.

We've asked the publishers to try dressing up a little, wearing business casual at the least.

So what are you planning on wearing?

Well, we staff members ;) have been asked to wear formal attire... but if it's as hot in indy this week as it is here, I dunno...

Um, techinally "formal attire" means black-tie, ie. tuxedos for men, gowns for women, etc. "Semi-formal" basically means (or used to mean) suit and/or coat and tie. "Business Casual" used to mean that you didn't need to wear a coat, but a shirt and tie were still expected. Nowdays, "business casual" pretty much means long pants and a shirt (for men) and, well, based on recent experience, means just about anything other than a bikini for women.

I hope when you say "formal attire" you just mean a tie or something, asking someone to wear a tuxedo is a bit much.

As for me, presuming I can make it, I'll probably be coming straight from dinner and wearing khaki shorts (or pants) and a decent shirt. Unless the weather changes a great deal it'll be quite hot next week. Then again, as I discovered last year, other people can change my plans ...

Gah! Somebody give me some good advice on this, since I won the auction to impersonate Parent's Basement Games, and I don't have a clue what to where!

Since I'll be running the video, I don't know if I count as "staff" or what. Left to my own devices, I'd probably wind up in jeans and a three button shirt.

Is that too casual?
