What are you wearing to the ENnies?

I predict the Benevolent Jedi-Dungeon Masters of Supreme Ni-Power most gamers will attire wear their Ceremonial Vestments of Solitude black t-shirt and jeans for the meeting with the High Council this event.

...

Dang, one day, be it next year or in a few, I will visit GenCon. Being half a planet away, the only thing I can do is to make fun of it. :(

Kahkis, sport jacket, and tie. Jacket may spend the evening on the back of my chair depending on how hot it is. If it's like today was, it may not even leave the hotel room.

clothes.

Seriously, when I do finally get to go I plan on making shirts that advertise my Storyhours and campaigns. I know I know. Egomaniac but just look at my user name ....

Well I'll be reasonably dressed but I got a major downer from my wife last night who informed me that I am without style. I'm styleless.

I told her, "I need something stylish to wear at the ENnies." She asked why and I explained that I wanted to look nice and gave a brief rundown of the general dress code. Then I made the mistake of mentioning Teflon Billy and what he'd be wearing and said, "so I'd like to be stylish too."

She kind of raises an eyebrow and said, "Well you can forget looking as stylish as Teflon Billy."

I took small solace in knowing that literally thousands of people must have had that same sentence spoken to them over the years but damn, that's some cold stuff coming from the woman who had your child. :\

Speaking of clothes, it's supposed to be in the mid-to-high eighties this week in Indianapolis. Is the convention center area so well air conditioned that we'll be cold in shorts, or are there so many bodies everywhere that jeans would be way too warm?

who is excitedly starting to pack...

I've always been comfortable in jeans & t-shirt. I'm recalling the woman I saw who was wearing nothing but some strategically placed duct tape. I'd guess that she was a bit chilly.

Hole-filled (non-sequitor?) jeans, flip-flops and either a Motorhead concert t-shirt from '84 with a bunch of bullet holes in it or a "I'm with Stupid" t-shirt. ;)

Actually, I'll be wearing the gamer uniform: khaki cargo shorts and a gaming t-shirt of some kind. Or maybe a Trogdor!!! t-shirt. Dunno.

And Dave, I was comfy in shorts the whole time last year, with the exception of friday and saturday night at 2AM, when the con center did get a little nippy. You'll be glad you have them on if you have to go outside in the humidity.

She was in line next to me in the 2003 pre-reg debacle. Will be interesting to see what she doesn't wear this year.

I just didn't want to be the only one (besides TB of course) who's all dressed up. But I suppose I need something that I wouldn't be embarassed to wear in a strip club too. ;)

So I'll pack my thong for good measure.

Now you are thinking buddy:)

If you go to a strip club looking like Money, you don't necessarily have to actually be money:)

All appearances point towards you and I being totally money though :)
