D&D 3E/3.5 what book are 3.5 forsakers in?

As of right now (unless I missed something big), forsakers are not a PrC in 3.5. Ya, this makes me frown too. If you want to check things like this though, crystal keep has most PrCs listed, so you can see if 3.0 PrCs are still around.

Why on earth do you want a 3.5 Forsaker?

While I really like the concept of the class, the 3.0 Forsaker has to be the most poorly implemented PrC I've ever seen.

It's just completely wrong to build a PrC whose schtick is giving up magic and then making them mechanically dependent on having magic items.

Bleh.

Here's a much better 3.5 Forsaker for you. :)

[Feat] Vow of the Forsaker
PreReq: Iron Will, Lightning Reflexes, Great Fortitude.
Benefit: As per Vow of Poverty (BoED) except you don't gain any bonus Exalted feats.
Special: If you ever use a magic item, cast a spell, activate an Spell Like ability, manifest a Psionic Power or voluntarily fail a save vs any of the previously listed effects you lose the benefits of this feat for a year and a day.

Hence the request to see a wotc 3.5 forsaker, which might have fixed some of those problems. :)

It was a good class. It was not dependant on magical items at all. Most people though thought the class had to be taken to extremes so a loty of bad comments where made that where never true about it.

It was: You had to destroy magic items in order to retain several class abilities.

one class ability, the DR. That was it. And it wasn't like it had to be done all the time, only if the character thought he might need the DR. It wasn't even the most important class ability of the Forsaker.

So . . . like my second-edition dwarven fighter who would sacrifice all of the party's unused magic weapons to Clangeddin before a big fight, only to get no benefit and be left holding his masterwork battleaxe against a lich?
