Check out Dr. Awkwards Bruiser class for exactly this. Thus far, there is a level 4 'Pugilist' (as we call this class) who is on par with what a fighter would be at level 4 - so, IOWs, quite well balanced. I highly recommend adopting this class in lieu of monks - it's what I've done in my gamesDragon Vindaloo said:Another one I'd like is a pure unarmed martial artist class with a meaty d12 hit die, good BAB and saves, so you can make anyone from Stone Cold to Bruce Lee.

IMHO:Sejs said:Way I was thinking about it would look something like so:
Enchantment & Illusion: Beguiler.
Evocation: Warmage.
Necromancy: Dread Necromancer.
Conjuration: (New 'Summoner' Class)
Abjuration & Divination: (New 'Warder' Class)
Transmutation: (New 'I can't come up with a good name for this' Class)
