What do you wish was made into a game?

Edgar Rice Burroughs' John Carter of Mars series of books would be a wonderful setting if someone could obtain the license. Rich with new races, classes, monsters and neat tech.

The Fast Forward/Crossgen project looks like it's not going to happen either, but a game where you play the role of one of the First ( or Secundae ) would be very cool. Perhaps in that system you could also role play another character ( at different times ) so that you could role play a political power game on the homeworld, and also play a lesser powered character in a gorup out in the field. Perhaps one of the party should weild a Sigil.

Me and some friends where talking about Comics, video games, and movies and which ones we thought would make cool Ropleplaying games or even card games.

GI Joe (Hasbro owns the property, most of the original TV show is out on DVD and GI Joe is having a bit of a renaissance. What's holding this up?)

Lodoss (Drawn from the Japanese author's D&D game, I'd like to see someone bring this setting full circle with an official setting guide for D&D/d20 in English with art from the Japanese role-playing books, manga, and anime. See: http://www.lodossdreams.net/dreams/dreamsintro.html)

Starhunter 2300 (This will never happen because the series bombed in the ratings and the first season of Starhunter was pretty boring but it would be a great science fiction setting for role-playing in. See: http://www.starhuntertv.com/)

Thundarr the Barbarian (One of the better Saturday Morning Cartoons from the 1980s with a fantastic techomagic post-holocaust that Jack Kirby contributed to. I've actually played in a game based on this show and it was great fun. See: http://www.flyingclodhopper.com/Thundarr/)

The Land of the Lost (Episodes were written by Ben Bova, D.C. Fontana, David Gerrold, Larry Niven, Norman Spinrad, and Theodore Sturgeon. Send PCs on a "routine expedition" and let the fun begin. Need I say more? See: http://www.landofthelost.com/)

D20 Modern games: G.I. Joe, Aliens vs Predator, Robotech, Ninjas & Superspies, Shadowrun, Cyberpunk, Dune, Thundarr the Barbarian

Mutants and Masterminds games: Warhammer 40k, Rifts, Original World of Darkness, Amber, Magic: The Gathering, Transformers, Star Wars, Comics (Marvel, DC, Image, Crossgen, Spawn)

D&D d20 games: Lord of the Rings, Final Fantasy, Jhereg, Warhammer Fantasy

You know what I'd really like to see? A good Megaman X RPG. Not original Megaman, just the X series. The setting, if you look into it a bit, is surprisingly dark (humans dying off in the repeated reploid revolts, reploids being labelled maverick simply for expressing desire for independance, etc). It would only be good if it included an extensive system for custom-constructing your special weapons and abilities, though. :)

I'd like to see a new Robotech RPG, perhaps d20 based or perhaps not. Just one that's more playable than the old Palladium version. I still own all those books, though. :heh:

Fifth'd. We're just getting our old game going again, and the sheer crack-headedness of some of the things Sembieda writes is driving the GM crazy. :)

I'd like to see TMNT done in the flavor of Mutants and Masterminds. Masters of the Universe, Yrth, Castle Falkenstein and Riverworld are settings I can think of that I'd like to see as D20 campaigns. Also, as long as it wasn't done primarily for GURPS I'd love to see The 4400 as an RPG.

I would love to see a d20 version of it.

I would like to see the Dredd vs. Death video game made into an epic adventure for Judge Dredd d20. The plot, maps & foes are all there already.

I would like to see a game inspired by Tad Williams' Otherland series.

Maybe David Duncan's King's Blades series also.

I'm willing to bet one other one I would like to see will be announced some time early next year: Narnia.

Heh, yeah, me too.

For me, I'd love Fuzion versions of Robotech, Macross (Plus, 7, Zero), Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Armitage III, and Dirty Pair (among others).

Already got one for Robotech :) (Fuzion + Mekton Zeta + Hard Work = Great Game System)

Ghost in the Shell is on my short list to do. Should be pretty easy to do actually.
