What have you played?

Which non-PHB class have you played?

Wow. I tend to think that I've played a variety, but the only one I could check of was Favoured Soul... I've played a few very briefly on-line, but I'm discounting those because it tends to only last a few posts.

ETA: Now that I think of it, I played a Hexblade (albeit he died in the first session), so I should have clicked that too.

Never had a chance to play any of `em. I would've gone with Archivist if the option was available for me at the time (I'm playing a wizard instead).

However, one class I am playing that isn't listed (I guess since it's a 3-level class; not a PrC, since it can be taken at 1st level), is Paragon (from UA); I've played both Human Paragon and Half-Elf Paragon. I might go with Elf Paragon if I ever play an Elf or Half-Elf Wizard.

So far the only non-PHB class I've played is the scout. But I'd definitely like to try some of the others when the opportunity presents itself. I'm particularly interested in the warmage and wu jen classes.

Artificer and Soulknife.

I'm playing an Artificer in our (on-hiatus) WLD campaign.

I'm like a tiny mundane and magical crafting god. I expect to be the one providing everything my party needs as we delve deeper into the thing. We came upon an area infested with spiders (giant and otherwise), so I spent a few moments granting my party large bonuses to their poison saves. We were about to enter an area populated by a certain type of humanoid - BAM! Bane weapons. Our cleric player couldn't make a session: a few infinite wands, boosting the charges of normal wands via infusions, and a couple real charges later, and I'm a temp-cleric. Our psion blaster missed a couple sessions and, a couple well-chosen infusions later, I'm throwing out non-elemental blasts as touch attacks. I wear armor, carry a shield, and a frickin' huge trident (which I can throw, and which is usually infused to be Returning).

I am totally loving this class.

None of the above, although I've used many for NPCs (and am somewhat tempted to check all those off) and have seen a whole lot in play in games I GMed.

I don't think my voting for none of the above would show much about how many use core-only, though. :D I tend to use non-WotC material more often than WotC, d20 Modern classes more often than D&D ones, and Prestige Classes more often than Base Classes. Just off the top of my head, some of the non-core base classes I've used for PCs include:

Charismatic Hero (d20 Modern)
Courtier (Rokugan)
Fast Hero (d20 Modern)
Gamba (Nyambe)
Mage (Elements of Magic)
Martial Artist (Beyond Monks)
Nanala (Nyambe)
Ninja (Rokugan)
Strong Hero (d20 Modern)
Warmain (Arcana Evolved)

... and the Tinker class from Dragonmech, whose name I can't remember offhand despite loving the class. :(

Actually, now that I think about it, the Courtier/Charismatic Hero had at least one level in a psionic class. Probably Wilder.
