What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

Got delivery this morning of a new Swedish rpg that probably takes the gold medal for longest time between the idea was concieved and advertised as a coming game, and it actually was made and delivered; took 38 years...

During that time the original company closed down, they thought all material for it was lost, an old printed out backup surfaced, some licens deals had to happen.... The material had appearently changed a lot during these years. :)

The game is called "Partisan" , or technically "Expert Partisan" due to the rules engine used, and deals with a Soviet and East German invasion of Sweden in the early 1980s due to the events of the incident called "Whiskey on the Rocks" in the West (in Sweden it was know as U-137).

Karlskrona naval base - Wikipedia

The player characters are ordinary people involved in the resistance fight in an occupied Sweden. They will help delivering messages, spy on the occupying forces, help find collaborators etc. Actual fighting should be avoided.

I was one of the proofreaders for it. Will have to check it out more thoroughly after work.

I picked up a copy of Orphaned Bookworm Productions' newest PF1 product, Contact Other Plane - World of Final Adventures II (affiliate link).

As the name suggests, this brings several Final Fantasy-themed options to your PF1 game (independent of the previous book in the series). The largest of these (in terms of the number of pages devoted to it) is the new base class devoted to being a chocobo ostkosh rider (I can understand the author needing the change the name of the birds, but why "ostkosh"? Because all that makes me think of is Oshkosh B'gosh).

It's far from the only one, however. Several FFXIV races are here, most of which will be familiar to FFXIV players, along with a couple of classic monsters and a dragoon dragon lancer archetype for fighters.

For me, however, the real winner was the new magic items, which were single-use consumable items designed to fix various status ailments. Got a petrified party member? That's nothing a needle of softening can't cure! It's a fun little nod to the games, and can help make things a bit less challenging if your party is struggling under debuffs. Good stuff all around.

I just picked up a copy of Elementalry: Ectoplasm Elementals (affiliate link) from Octopus Apocalypse, a company whose name I still get a kick out of every time I see it.

As the title says, this introduces a new type of elementals: ectoplasm. From the Ethereal Plane, these elementals have powers related to incorporeality, and if utilized intelligently can be quite the vexing foe for PCs, since being able to send an opponent to the Ethereal Plane for 1 round on a successful melee attack can effectively split the party for a brief time, making this guy more dangerous than he'd initially seem. Likewise, I appreciate the detail about them being able to air walk rather than fly.

Just like with standard elementals, there's a section denoting the common traits of ectoplasm elementals preceding six full stat blocks for ectoplasm elementals of various sizes. We also get some player-focused content, including an ectoplasm bloodline for sorcerers, a few new spells, and even a notation about how to make the various elemental body spells function when the "element" chosen is ectoplasm.

It's a lot of great stuff for just $2.00!

Going back to November until now
Flash Gordon and the Kingdoms of Mongo supplement: I took advantage of the current sale as the license will not be renewed and I am a fan of Alex Raymond's artwork.

DC Heroes 40th anniversary Kickstarter: I put down $1, but will be upgrading

Valiant Adventures Kickstarter: upgraded to both Valiant Adventures and the Worlds of Valiant

DC Adventures Book 2: Heroes and Villains vol 1. and Book 4: DC Universe

Mutants and Masterminds 3e Humble Bundle

I recently purchased the Game Master/Friend Computer screen for Paranoia. It's fairly useful.

I wish I could either find or purchase players.

Damn. You all in. Nice.
I should have bought another set of DB dice when I made that order. I like using the green DB dice for playing DB but you sometimes need to roll multiples for a die and there is only one of them. Maybe I will order another set whenever the Expert and Magic books come out.

I've left mine in the box for now. I'm something of a dice goblin, so I have to constantly resist the urge for shiny new dice. I like the DB dice, but I really dislike icons or logos instead of numbers. The ones here are really well done, but still kinda a pain.

We should know more around April, May, or June. I'm really looking forward to learning what they have planned for the line and I can't wait to get my hands on it all.

If you look at the icons on the Dragonbane dice, a 1 is designed into the dragon and a 20 is designed into the demon so it's not just an icon.
