Bumping this thread up as a new NFL season has finally arrived (snuck up on us?) and there are still more teams' names & colors origins still unaccounted for.

Rich Stadium...err Bills Field was supposedly built on sacred Indian Burial grounds, hence why we never won anything. Funny thing is the Buffalo Bills don't even play in Buffalo, its Orchard Park. They used to play at the old "Rock Pile", War Memorial Stadium. Think they won the AFL championship with Jack Kemp before the AFL merged with the NFL in the late 60's.

The tailgating stories around here are epic. I'd pick any Bills fan against Bane or Lolth. Three beers and a Sahlens hotdog those gods would be reduced to mere mortal status.
