Ray Harryhausen - his monsters

The Appendix N for the current setting I am working on would include Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Star Wars and the Jak and Daxter series.

For S&S I definitely lean towards Lord of the Rings, Sword of Shannara, Sword & Deviltry and King Kull.

I also like superhero stuff and pretty much any "Fabulous First Issue!" of most comics serves as inspiration (Avengers, Justice League, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Legion of Super-Heroes, and Wildcats).

Among other things...

Cartoons
Thundarr the Barbarian
Pirates of Dark Water

Bands
Rainbow
Deep Purple
Yes
