What is your most trivial house rule?

In the last long term game I played in, the DM would not let anyone take the leadership feat. He had that kind of stuff happen in game.

Those aren't houserules. That's the way it's always been--it's not our fault that WotC's wrong. :p

Tell it like it is, woodelf.

Where these beardless dwarven lasses came from, I don't know. Halflings on the other hand, aren't kender, but certainly aren't hobbits either. Halflings are small brave little people... The Jeff Dee illustration from the Expert rules set is the perfect illo of a halfling.

Just for clarification:

Is this a case of "you can't manyshot fifteen arrows if you've only got one hand." or is it closer to "you're not using this feat more that ten times. Nine if you're Frodo."?

Every arrow beyond the first literally severs a finger. It's not a problem if you're a troll, I suppose, though that hasn't come up. I do let bow-path rangers substitute any feat for it, though.

* Survival checks determine how good a camp site you locate.
* Closely related skills can be used as substitutes but at +5 to the DC.
* Conversational free action can't be used when flatfooted.

So, why not just outlaw the feat then?

Calling for severing a finger to use a feat is waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy too much to ask for. Most characters only get 5-6 feats for their ENTIRE existence. A feat you can only use 10 times (maximum, without a regen spell) seems to me a way to say:

"This is the wost, stupiest feat ever & I want to make darn sure no one will ever, ever, take it."

Then, of course you'll just get some min/maxer to play a troll archer & make the whole reason for outlawing it seemingly obvious.

Just house-rule you don't like the feat, you don't alllow it in your game. Makes better sense to me.

I get this odd feeling you don't like Manyshot... ;)

If you dont show up on time you character is represented by the Naughty Nun Mini - a swordswoman figure that for some reason has a habit on top and a thong on the bottom. This can be subed out for a figure of your choice when you do show up.

(mainly used for marching order)

All Spellcasters gain the Eschew Material Components feat for free. Noone ever pays attention to the bat-guano-eyelashes-crickets nonsense... Spells with ridiculously expensive material components/focii still require lugging out the Belt-pouch of Treasure Hoarding and shelling out serious platinum.

I also do not require a die roll for healing spells cast when not in combat, they automatically do max healing. Someone lying at rest being carefully tended by a priest should get more benefit from a CLW than a fighter dodging and weaving orcs as the party priest tries to touch attack him with a little positive energy.

EDIT-- And I use negative Con as the lower threshold of death too, but I'm going to add the Disabled until at - your Con mod because it's BRILLIANT!
