What Movie Has Inspired the Most PC's in Your Game?

Well, for each of the groups, I'd say it's more books than movies that strongly influence PC creation.

But do TV shows count? If so, then pretty much all the Joss Whedon stuff would count somewhat, for sure. Maybe X-Files once, too.

Both Conans, in the movie department. Definitely an influence there, but more so from lit and other media, again.

And from that point, it's too much stuff to list, probably (especially with books included).

...hm, Discworld (the books) might have been a factor once or twice with at least one player I know. :)

Quotes from movies that express my players sentiments?

"He did not care anymore... life and death... the same!"

-

"Conan! What is good in life?" (Conan the Barbarian)

- - -

"Conan! There's six people against her!"

"One, two, three... I think you're right!" (Conan the Destroyer, terrible, terrible sequel that it was.)

- - -

"Now this town will be peaceful." (Yojimbo, surrounded by a pile of corpses.)

- - -

"By the ancient book of Ninja, you will die!" (Shintaro the Samurai)

- - -

"I think you need to apologise to my mule..." (Fistful of dollars)

- - -

"Mr Downsbury, will you stand up please? Mr Downsbury has mastered the art of not being seen. However, he has chosen a rather obvious piece of cover." (Monty Python)

- - -

"Do it." (Starsky and Hutch)

- - -

"Insurmountable odds, small chance of success... what are we waiting for?" (Gimli, LOTR)

I don't think I've ever, conciously, played a character based upon a movie. I like to think I'm a little more creative than that. ;)

I'm not. My most successful roleplayed characters has had their personalities ripped off from Movies or TV.

I ran a dwarven fighter/dwarven defender with the personality of Rudy Boesch from Survivor I.
I am now running a female dwarven barbarian/spirit shaman with the personality of Susan Hawk, also from Survivor I. She seemed to me to have an iconic dwarven personality.

My most successfully roleplayed character was my "front line wizard" spellstaff, who was a synthesis of Dizzy from Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles, Yochi the perky cheerful drow elf from the Dragon magazine comic strip Yamara, Britanny and Quinn from MTV's Daria, and Jesse from Toy Story 2.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. We have one guy obsessed with Willow....:P

Ive had a character LOOK like soemone from a movie(13th warrior), but never based a character from a movie. Right now we have a character named Porthos(but hes not the 3 musketeers type). I cant say we have had many based off movies or tv with the exception f willow

For me as a player, it's "The Third Man", which happens to be my favourite film.

I'm digging a secret cave in a nearby golf course to avoid all the Serenity inspired PCs I expect to see from October.

Mine was not so much a movie, but a comic. I had a character based on the comic book character, Punisher.

Bestrafer (loosely, Punisher in German), was an expert Archer. He was a devout worshiper of the god Hoar, the god of Revenge. His family, and entire village, were killed by drow (a prelude to the City of the Spider Queen adventure). So the Punisher's rage against the mafia was heavy influence to Bestrafer's rage against the Drow.
He also took Pun's skull motif, always painting his face to that of a skull when he was going on mission/adventures.
