What Movie Has Inspired the Most PC's in Your Game?

Hawk the Slayer!!! Nothing like a one handed crossbowman (!?!?), a Elf who can constantly leap of tents (and apparently the only way he can fire a bow!), and a surly dwarf to name just a few of the characters involved in this very old, geek's dream (back in the early eighties at least).

I dunno, I think Aliens may have ol' Hawk beat. Hicks, Hudson, Apone, Vasquez, Ripley . . .

Turanil's thread "Whose PC is this?" got me thinking... What movie or book has inspired the most PC's in your group?

For me, curiously enough, it's "The Mummy." Curiously, because it's not really a "Fantasy" movie,

Who do you think you are kidding? At the end of the show, Rick isn't blasting away mummies with a shotgun, he's whacking at them with a sword. ;)

and its not a "great" movie - very fun, and pulpy, but not great in the vein of "Raiders of the Lost Ark", for example.

Yeah, but how many playable character concepts are there in Indiana Jones? I count 1. ;)

There have been a couple of characters based off of Evie in my groups, I've based one off of Ardeth Bey, I think someone's done one roughly off of Evie's brother. I've even played a character who was somewhat inspired by the old British pilot who was yearning for one last fight.

I had a puppet to a Sangrolu (Blood Lich) in my game that was basically Benny. :D

My list includes Conan, Braveheart, Willow, and Ladyhawke. Conan inspired my favorite PC (and my username). Braveheart inspired at few dwaven warriors. Willow game me a couple female characters (both good and bad) and my use of Nelwyns. Ladyhawke inspired my group's favorite cowardly kobold theif as well as a quiet and enigmatic rogue knight.

There are others, but those sources have given me the most charcters for fantasy games. For Modern games the list would include The Matrix, Indiana Jones series, The Mummy series, Goodfellas, The Godfather, just about any John Woo movie, and just about any John Carpenter flick as well.

Kane

Not so much PCs, but certainly NPC get inspired by characters from movies/tv/books in my campaigns.

For most games I think old Errol Flynn movies are a good source of characters - Captain Blood or Robin Hood

I played a Vampire assasin that looked exactly like the Bedouin guy with the swords. I always though it was cool how he somehow made it out of the tunnels with all the mummys against him.

LoTR was a inspiration for a number of characters as well as Conan.

Recently, I have run characters based on the Scorpion King and Riddick.

Gotta go with "Ghost Dog: Way of the Samauri" and "Johnny Mnemonic" for my cyberpunk games.

Way deep down inside, there's a little bit of Gandalf in all of my D&D wizards.

Damn. You are absolutely right. Though there has been various comic book characters, a female Captain Jack Sparrow and a couple of literary/historical legends as well. Although the strangest comparison I've ever gotten was when Gene said my character George was based on Jeff from Coupling. I will go on the record as saying that although I watch BBCAmerica like a fiend, the resemblance is entirely coincidental. :p
