What nice things have a fellow EN Worlder done for me?

Ranger Wicket sent me a pdf copy of Elements of Magic: ME back in 2005 when I began fighting to get disability. All he asked for in return was that, if I liked it, to say so in a thread. Well, as the book is one of my three favorite d20 Modern products and top 10 rpg products, I still recommend the book both here and at WOTC's boards.

The Le sent me a few pdfs back around Christmas when I learned that the insurance company was no longer going to pay for my father's hospitalization and was sending him home to die. I thought it was a very nice thing to do.

I've had the pleasure of meeting PC and Qualidar in Boston earlier this year, as well as dragonlordofpoontari and Col Hardison in San Diego, also earlier this year. I met several folks at GenCon 2004, and have had the pleasure of trading with many folks from ENWorld's marketplace over the years, too.

The nicest thing anyone has done for me though, has got to be Destan allowing Different Worlds to publish his Valus setting and Ippizicus Child-Eater adventure in 2004 :D

I think meeting you and having you show me and dragonlordofpoondari some really, really cool artifacts from D&D's early days rates up high on my list of cool things EN Worlders have done. I still think about those maps, especially that one with the ship beached near the underground temple.

Teflon Billy has been consistently generous, gifting me with pretty durned nifty books.

When did alish20 stop posting here? And how come?
If I recall correctly, the gist of it was that alsih2o had a bunch of excess d20 product - I believe he had received it for either review or judging purposes. Since he didn't need it, he offered to give it to some ENWorlders, possibly as contest prizes. Someone chimed in that he should send it to soldiers instead, to which he reasonably said that he would do with them what he chose, and if the other poster had some material of his own, he was welcome to do whatever he wanted with it. Things turned ugly, and others inexplicably jumped on alsih2o's ass for no good reason. The whole thing left a sour taste in his mouth, and he departed ENWorld for greener pastures, and I don't blame him - that was a crappy reward he got for his generosity. He was a really nice guy - his posts here were always entertaining and/or informative. I got to meet him at an ENWorld get-together at GenCon (or maybe Origins) one year, and he was just as cool in person. I never did get the chance to buy one of his awesome dice rollers, damn it. It would be great if he came back, but I think that bridge is long burned a couple of years ago.

Did I remember this right? Or have I forgotten/misremembered something?

Hobo (Josh Dyal) gave me some great tips on using DungeonCraft articles to make a world (and a PDF file archive, to boot).

LOL

Josh Dyal's hobo? Who's Jdvn1?

Does Ralts still post here? Cuz he gave me a free copy of Year of the Zombie many a moon ago, that was a fascinating read.

Hellhound has said, numerous times, that he'd help me out with accomodations or whatnot should I ever make it to Gencon. While I imagine I'd be getting my own place (I currently have about four friends that wanna roadtrip it next year), the offer is appreciated.

And, of course, mad props go out to Blargney the Second, who, after only the second time I'd met him in person, handed me a copy of an Eberron novel and offered to loan any minis I needed from his (massive) collection for use in my STAP game.

Erywin gets points in my book, too, simply because he hasn't killed my Wu Jen yet. :)

A whole bunch of ENWorlders gave me crash space while I was traveling a couple of years ago. It was great. I got to meet a bunch of great people, and they really treated me well, often buying me dinner, taking me around, hooking me up with games, etc. Others that I met took me out or were generally cool to me.

Thanks again for that, all y'all (including but not limited to diaglo, GoldenEagle, Crothian, Piratecat, etc. etc)... if anyone is ever in my neighborhood and needs a place to kick it, let me know! :)

der_kluge and nerfherder, over on Circvs Maximvs, have been very, very helpful in helping me figure out some very tough (to me) programming problems at work. I can't thank them enough.

Haven't received anything on a personal level, but I do appreciate the occasional free pdfs people have given out (such as TheLeGames) which I have received.

Mainly though, I appreciate the answers to my questions that I have about miscellaneous things. Without the goodness of the people of EnWorld, I don't think many of the questions we people here have would be answered. :)

Seconded.
