D&D 5E What non-D&D Specific TTRPG Books Do You Use With For Your 5E Campagn?

There are lots of D&D adjacent games, from the OSR stuff to other fantasy games that aim at the same general subgenres. There are also intentionally system neutral supplements. And of course, you can adapt settings and systems from any game if you are willing to put in the work.

So, what books from non-D&D RPGs do you use when running 5E? How so? How's it working for you? Would you recommend them?

Note: I guess mentioning earlier edition books is fine, but it is kind of low hanging fruit. I am more interested in exploring stuff outside of TSR and WotC.

I used to reference my Veins of the Earth sourcebook a lot for everything ''underdark'' related, but since it was made in collaboration with Zak S. (never noticed before), it now gather dust of my shelves :(

I also steal an indecent amount of ideas from videogame RPGs, mainly Final Fantasy and Dragon Age. Dont now if that counts.

Not to derail my own thread, but I don't understand this. You already paid for the book. The damage from that perspective is done. Whether you use it at your own table for your own use wouldn't seem to endorse anything but the actual value of the work.

Yeah, I know...its all in my head, I'll probably get over it someday (I just noticed it, like, 4 days ago :p )

I'm pretty much just running one 5e game now (Rime of the Frostmaiden, play-by-post), and am mostly phasing out of GMing 5e. For RotF, I have a bunch of my own resources I've created and then I've referenced the following non-D&D books...
  • A mountain/alpine survival guide, can't recall name right now, but can double check it if someone needs
  • A5E Dungeon Delver's Guide & Tome of Adventure Design & Courtney Campbell's Trips, Traps, Empty Rooms for creating some smaller dungeons / fleshing out dungeons
  • NobleCrumpet's Book of Secrets - rarely referenced, but has good guidelines for secret doors, puzzles, and traps
  • Tome of Beasts (Kobold Press), borrowed a couple monsters from here
I wish I could say I was referencing more 3rd party goodness – I probably would be if not running one of the hardcover adventures.
