Pretty sure Drow got +1 to Charisma.

+1 isnt a Charisma race. +1 is what normal mundane Human gets.

Unfortunately, I am not one of the players who wants to roleplay a devil.

So, for me, the Tiefling fails to make the game more appealing.

Humans and halflings get a +1, and if prior editions are an indicator, others races with a bonus will include dragonborn, half-elf and gnomes. With tiefling, that is 6 out of the 9 races that bump cha. (7 if drow elves do). Don't play a dwarf or half-orc and you're all set.
