Its unfortunate that D&D 3e makes Humans unquestionably the most powerful 0 LA race by giving them an extra feat. I almost always want that extra feat and end up being a human, even when other things might be nicer or more interesting. Maybe with the basic SRD Humans are balanced, but with 44,000 powerful feats in existence now, I really feel Humans are way overbuff compared.

gnome rogue (campaign was restarted, so I only played her once)

Well, I guess human, but gnomes are a close second!

I don't think I have a favorite race (through there are a heck of a lot on the list that I have never tried). I enjoy playing characters, each one different. The race is just part of that character.

I will leave out the githzari and gnome sitting unplayed on PbP boards.
I chose high elf, to balance the poll. As a DM ?
evil psionic halfling. 1 per campaign minimum.

Humans are superior. I don't like it.

I can't answer this. Why, lets look at all the 3.X ed characters I've played:
Half-Elf Bard, Dwarf Sorcerer, Gnome Fighter, Half-Orc Ranger

One of each, can't pick. Lets go to 2e
Gnome Psionicist, Githyanki Fighter/Mage, Human Cleric, Gnome Thief x2, Human Wizard, Half-Elf Ranger

So if you go back to my old 2e days it would be the gnome. But thats not really a signifier. Anyways I usually am the DM (but I won't pick that).

Mostly Human, occasionaly a dwarf. Oh one Half-elf one time.
I don't think I have ever played any other race.
