D&D 5E What Shall El Zardo Play?

goblin warlock (tome, not sure about patron) who uses mask of many faces to pretend he's a dwarven wizard.

More or less has to be a warrior.

Whatever I play. Right now I have a Goliath Fighter.

Session one is a hunger games type tourney but if we die you get downloaded into a new body basically the clone spell.

That's while you are in the Nexus which is the tourney.

We can basically play anything we want from any source though. I want to play a warrior type anyway.

Play the bear! Do it! Make a truly unique character that'll be remembered.
Actually play a warrior type of any other race - and get killed! Re-spwn in the bears body.
Use bears physical stats, & your mental stats & class/background.
Why did the powers that be download you into a bear with hand-paws? (And hopefully the power of speach)? Twisted sense of humor? It was what the lab had ready to go atm??

AC will only be 15 if I play the best unless I wear armor.

The idea is partly find a mini I like and build the character to match the mini.

With the stats you rolled, I'd probably chose a goliath gold (or red) draconic sorcerer.

I'd assign the stats as you do but with cha and Int reversed.
I chose firebolt as ranged attack spell and green flame blade as second one.
I chose a quarterstaff as main weapon and late would take twin spell as my metamagic of choice. Maybe quicken as the second one or heightened, to make my spell stick despite my bad charisma.
I would spam twin spell with greenflame blade and later would get weapon master for extra damage.
Hold person and levitate as backup spells are not bad either. Later I would chose haste. My goliath reaction is reserved to reduce damage to 0 to spare myself a saving throw to break concentration.
The shield spell would be my friend against melee attackers and at level 6 each and every damage spell will have extra power.

I have thought of the melee Sorcerer. Hill Dwarf fire Sorcerer or Divine Soul is something I've been wanting to play for a while.

Isn't quicken better than twin?

Divine Soul gets cure as a freebie and can pick up spiritual weapon and guardians.

AC 15 not a fan though. The bear mini can have the same AC and be divine soul only conceding the extra hp.

I like twin because of the possibility of double concentration. Quicken is equally good mostly. I think the Goliath damage reduction makes you quite beefy. The other options are equally good though. There is not a lot to argue about divine weapon, but then you should have twin spell because you need that bonus action for the spiritual weapon activation.
AC 15 is plenty combined with the shield spell and the reaction. At level 1, 1d12+3 extra hp is nothing to sneeze at and you need to get to level 3 first to get divine weapon. There are also different level 2 spells I´d rather have than spiritual weapon. In my experience it has often not really paid off. The spell I am thinking of is shadow blade, which you should easily be able to keep up. With that in mind, maybe 17 Strength suffices, because you don´t have to get weapon master. But I don´t know what feat to get then. Probably Tasha´s guide will have a good one.
