Warlocks qualify for anything that requirest "caster level", but not "ability to cast x-level spells". Obtain Familiar is a go (and a fey-based warlock with a faerie familiar is awesome).Kat' said:How about Walk unseen invocation? Always nice to have.
Side note: Warlocks do not cast spells and thus don't qualify for Obtain Familiar...
It isn't that cool, it is a Raven. Which has been very useful, scouting, delivering messages etc.Warlocks qualify for anything that requirest "caster level", but not "ability to cast x-level spells". Obtain Familiar is a go (and a fey-based warlock with a faerie familiar is awesome).
Well, I cannot use greater invocations yet, it sounds like you are talking about bewitching blast. Also, I think QSLA is only going to be useful when being higher than 6 (I think 12 it gets good).Quicken SLA is nice. You could quicken an invocation, like fell flight, as a swift action then go in for your hideous blow as you are probably doing now.
Especially useful in the first round or for invocations that 'buff' your warlock.
I also like the confusion invocation, Voices of Madness. 80% of the time you are going to benefit. When you are facing two strong opponents, swift confuse one, then attack the other in the same round...it's a powerful combo at low levels.
It is an option, but I am using the greatsword when I am close enough to use it and it does 5d6+5 vs. 3d6+1 w/pbs. Nah, I am going to go a different direction that super shootey. Shoot as a backup and when the AC is too high to hit with the sword.Might I personally recommend Point Blank Shot, which IIRC does apply to the warlock's eldritch blast.
Yeah, it looks pretty good. But an extra Invocation is very appealing...I'd vote #1. When you later take more Fey feats, the DR increases too.
Warlocks don't qualify for Quicken SLA until about 11th level, and then only for either a basic Eldritch Blast or a Least invocation. And Fell Flight lasts 24 hours, so you're never likely to need to cast it in a hurry.werk said:Quicken SLA is nice. You'll get more invocations in due time. But take Fey Skin, Fey Presence and Fey Legacy (iirc) and you'll get DR 4/cold iron (added to your class DR) and 6 spell-like abilities, including deep slumber and summon nature's ally 5.Sadrik said:It isn't that cool, it is a Raven. I think I will do the Fey Skin feat. Since I am planning on being in melee it will be beneficial. It gives DR 1 + the number of fey feats that I have that have a prerequisite of Fey Heritage- which is 1 (Fey Skin). So, it will give +2 DR to my 1 DR making it 3 and I believe I get an additional DR at 7th level.Klaus said:You'll get more invocations in due time.
