Star Wars What Shows Would You Make?

One more I just thought of, as a Mandalorian spin-off: Those two Republic X-Wing pilots who showed up in an episode or two in the second season. It'd be fun to see a series set around what are essentially the beat cops of the Star Wars universe.

Oh, you mean the Rangers of the New Republic series that was going to include them and Cara Dune, but then got shelved because of the actress making shady comments?

I always thought it was hilarious that when the 2nd line of Star Wars figures came out that they based them in the cover of #14 (I think). At the time people complained that while the story was good the artwork was 'too beefy'. And when the figs came out they were called "Steriod Wars" lol..

Heretic of The Seventh Circle
Either that or decades after his death in the Clone Wars, a clone of Count Dooku awakens with instructions from his original self. Unsure of his place in the new world, he sets out to fulfill a destiny of political machinations and the dark side of the force. As to who would play a younger Dooku, maybe Lee Pace?
I would watch the hell outta that.

I wasn't aware it was going to include them. But I'm thinking less a frontier-lawwoman angle and more a police procedural IN SPACE, maybe with some self-deprecating humour. Brooklyn 99 Parsecs.

When you said procedural, I was sure you were going to go with CSI: Hoth.

Looks like the perp was a Banta. That killing was cold.....

I'd do a super good quality traditional animated Thrawn trilogy series. Each book is one season. All the original actors voicing their animated selves.

I would make a trilogy (of course) of the 3 Zahn books that took place after the movies. I now the books are like 25 years old, but they would make good movies.

I also liked the book that followed all the minor cast from the Jabba scene where Luke walked in. The book had a chapter on why/how each of these 'small' people came to the place from the jawas to the musicians. There could be an hour show on each of these.

You can also just make up a show about some stormtroopers and life on the front lines. It could be a soldier show or something like a space cowboy show that is more fun. It could even be more A-Team and light. Just a bunch of grunts making the best of it.

They could create a "Legends" line of shows that aren't in the canon timeline, and adapt old novels and novel series.
If there was a way to do Leia, Luke, and Han without it being too jarring, I'd enjoy versions of some selected issues of the Marvel Comics adaptation that started in 1977 - maybe a Crimson Jack arc with things from issues 7 to 15.

Issue 7 starts right after episode IV with:

And the arc includes "Eight for Aduba-3" with Jaxxon, the Waterworld Story, and the showdown with Crimson Jack.

Issue 49 the "Last Jedi" is another I remember fondly.

Oh my, yes! Add this to the Legends line!

At this point, I'd be kind of surprised if they don't make animated adventures of Luke, Han, Leia, etc., in between the OT movies, and post-ROTJ.

Right now, they're making an Obi-wan show, so I am content.

All the clones of him awaken and turn crazy mad seeking to become the true one and raid the hiding places of all his magic. One becomes a vampire in Westgate and another tries to take over Darkhold.

Me too. I don't think you can replace Sir Christopher Lee, but Lee Pace has the height and is capable of that same elegance and arrogance.

I would watch the hell outta that.

I want The Old Republic MMO turned into a long running show.

Yeah something old republic would be on my list. Other things are already in the menu.

So my top 3.

1. Old republic. Related to the games or something new. Even darkside related could be fun.

2. Wraith Squadron type adaptation (Starfighter special forces).

3. Thrawn related (Ahsoka show?).

There is a lot to be said for the Old Republic as a setting:

1) No fan service cameos steeling the spotlight from the main characters;

2) Mass Sith vs Jedi lightsabre battles - something that has really only been seen in the Old Republic MMO trailer and on Palpatine's wall.

Christopher Lee was very good at being Christopher Lee, but I think Lee Pace is a better actor generally.

I think it's possible that a young Dooku might appear in The Acolyte, if that show ever makes it to screen.

That's one if the ones rumored to be in trouble. Personally it's on my list of most wanted.

Think Andors the other one.

Hero
Coruscant Nights -- police procedural set on Coruscant, with the first episode ending with the destruction of Alderaan hitting the news and then being immediately suppressed; a story about a group of people trying to be just and coming to the realization that the system they want to protect is fundamentally unjust.
