What sort of product do you want to buy that no one is producing?

So a book of essays on adventure (path) creation. Maybe take an adventure (path) and explain in grueling detail how and why each encounter or decision or whatever was done.

No, on campaigns. An adventure path is a series of adventures written to be linked. A campaign is more open as the DM and players have control on where that goes.

It's a sad truth in this industry that--with the extremely rare exception--royalty-based payments aren't even a fraction of what you make if you're paid even a halfway-decent "per word" rate.

I'm not trying to be a downer. I'd love to do books like this. But until/unless we can interest a "name" company, we're just not in a position to make it happen.

Actually, we don't pay with royalties unless the writer requests it. ;)

Right now, I don't need or really want much for new crunch. I got plenty, thanks.

What I would most like to see right now is serious expansion, revision, and evolution of existing game mechanics. WotC has basically spent the last three years carpet-bombing us with new races, base classes, spells, and feats. Some of this stuff was out-and-out terrible, some of it was clearly spectacular, but a lot of it, I just don't know. Is the warlock class a worthy addition to my game? How about the duskblade? I have neither the time nor the inclination to test all of this by myself.

It seems like WotC has somewhat painted itself in a corner with all this new non-core material. If they are writing a new book, they have a painful choice -- do they support the non-core material, and if so, how much space do they devote to it? Any choice is going to tick people off. People who use the new material will be ticked off that they aren't supported (why couldn't they have included some new warlock incantations? Waaaah!) People who don't use the non-core material will be ticked off because there's support for materials they don't use (why is all this space being wasted on some stupid wu-jen class I've never heard of? Waaaah!)

I would really like to see WotC add a lot of these new non-core mechanics to the SRD so third-party publishers can produce supporting material. Maybe this would even draw some publishers back into d29 fantasy.

Anyway, what I would really like to see over the next couple years would be to have WotC and 3rd party publishers cull through the huge mass of new material. Let evolution select the best adapted races, classes, feats, and spells.

I'd like to see treasure cards, including magic items from the various source books, with the game info already on the card. The Paizo cards look nice, but have no game data on them at all. I wish every product that introduces a magic item would include a treasure card for that item.

I ditto the request for a good piece of software that speeds up character/NPC generation.

Along the lines of Buff Cards, someone should produce Condition Cards, which detail every condition a character could suffer so the DM could simply hand out a Shaken card or a Nauseated card as needed.

Treasure Cards (still in the works it seems): http://www.theothergamecompany.com/projects/itemcards.htm
Condition Cards: http://enworld.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?cPath=254&products_id=7889&

I use a lot of their stuff, spell cards, status cards, etc and really like them... though the butting out part took some time until I bought a nice paper cutter at home.

There was some mention of pregenerated characters from every level from 1 to 20 for every class. While they don't cover every level or class, there is the Ironics product I have seen on the ENGS that has come in handy a few times for me: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=144461

For me, my wish list... I would like to see the use of more of the Delve format in adventure creations from all publishers in a standardized format. One thing that always slows me down is the math... adding up 15d6 takes some time, where 36+2d6 might just as well serve and cut a lot of time down. The other thing that slows me down is looking up everything all the time... having it on one or two facing sheets is a boon to me for the more obscure things. Having checkboxes for charges left on items is helpful as well.

Dragon Magic, the first WotC book I know that tried to add support for nearly all of their new non-core books (only Book of Nine Swords seems to have been left out), seemed to get very few of these complaints. Granted, it's one book and not a dozen, but done in moderation, I think it won't be a big issue. (Although I question whether it's worth supporting the 10 people who play Wu Jen characters.)

Pants,

Fine. Rag on the races. I just think AE/AU is a great way to keep experienced players who might not want to be the tired classes of "cleric", "wizard", and "fighter", but want something more. That's why I like it.

Well that and Mageblade is pretty darn cool! :D
Aside from the Totem Warrior and the Ritual Warrior, I don't see what's so great about most of the classes.

The Akashic and Greenbond in particular.

Software support.

Easy system for advancing monsters, applying templates, adding in new monsters or templates and getting a stat block.

I want to have augment summoning fiendish/celestial creature stats.

Gestalt, I want gestalt info. It's OGC and I want published adventures, prestige classes designed to take up both sides, feats. Maybe even an entire campaign setting.

Just what I'd like to see. I doubt it'll ever happen.

It might be a worthwhile experiment for someone to make up a PDF gestalt adventure and see how it sells, probably, adapting some existing gestalt campaign's material to keep costs as low as possible.
