If you were a Ranger in a DND world, wouldnt you learn spells to make your very hard life a bit easiet? Tbh, rangers as half casters makes the MOST sense. If Aragorn could learn conjure volley, you can bet he would lol
Remove the rations logistics minigame first.Goodberry needs to be removed because its bad game design. Its one of many "turn off these game mechanics" buttons that only exist so people don't have to engage with the unnecessarily abrasive survival rules.
You have time for this but not to cite your sources?!I got time. Let's start roughing out woodcraft right here in the thread.
First up is...
Alarm: You may rig an area with noise-making traps. Rigging a 5 square by 5 square area takes thirty minutes and a Survival check and you can gather the materials to rig a number fo such areas equal to 1 + your INT modifier. Creatures attempting to enter an area rigged with alarms must succeed on a Perception check opposed to your Survivalor suffer a -10 + your INT modifier penalty to Stealth checks made while entering or moving through the rigged squares.
replace Wis with prof bonus and its good to go.Cure Wounds: You are skilled in the formulation of healing poultices. A number of times per encounter equal to your WIS modifier while not in combat, you may allow an ally that is spending HD to heal to add 1d6+your WIS modifier.
I only have times for important things. I can actually use what I dev for Woodcraft for my project. You have time for this but not to cite your sources?!
I will be deep in the cold, cold ground before I recognize prof bonus as a worthwhile piece of design. 2WIS mod or 1/2 level is best I can do.replace Wis with prof bonus and its good to go.
By that logic literally everyone should be spellcasters. If you were a Ranger in a DND world, wouldnt you learn spells to make your very hard life a bit easiet? Tbh, rangers as half casters makes the MOST sense. If Aragorn could learn conjure volley, you can bet he would lol
in that case, I would rather be a druid with some archer wannabe sub-class:If you were a Ranger in a DND world, wouldnt you learn spells to make your very hard life a bit easiet? Tbh, rangers as half casters makes the MOST sense. If Aragorn could learn conjure volley, you can bet he would lol
Yeah. Tracking arrows and torches and rations and encumbrance is unfun.Remove the rations logistics minigame first.
