That's not really a new idea, I think FR had that in the 1st Ed. box already. I'm actually glad they got rid of that stupid plastic sheet, but that's just me. :)

Do you need it to measure distances, or did they put a scale onto the maps, too?

Anyways, I do not know the Kalamar Atlas, have only seen the core book once. I often heard the Atlas is incredibly well done, tho. Other than that, my vote clearly goes to the FR 3rd edition maps. I really like the way they are done.

...I THINK there's a scale on the map, but I am not positive. I usually just ballpark it anyway, since terrain over those distances can have a huge effect on travel time. We have the campaign setting map posters hanging on the wall for the players and everybody to see, while I tend to stick with the Atlas unless I am explaining a long distance route to the players.

I can almost guarantee you that those who voted for FR and GH have not seen the Kalamar Atlas

I've seen the Kalamar Atlas, and my vote is still for Greyhawk. To me it looks like the most realistic geography, both the shape of the continent and the actual terrain.

Kalamar is pretty good too though. It would probably be my second.

Harn, and I don't care about hexes. From what I could see in the beautifully inbound Kalamar atlas was a lot of land and really no content, and content is really what most people prefer don't they?

Ack - I voted for FR because I didn't see "Other".

So my choice for Other would be Call of Cthulhu. The maps of Arkham and Innsmouth especially for some reason have been over the years and over the systems my favorite maps ever.

Edit: I do like the look of Harn maps too, even though I don't play or own the game. I really need to install that Harn add on to CC2 some day...
