What's the highest PC level in your current D&D campaign?

The fights are still tough, the game is still fun, and we get to see some really good RP and some hardcore fighting.

Current Campaign

My players are currently running characters between 14th and 16th. They started at 6th level, and have been playing these characters for almost three years. We only get together 4 to 5 times a year to play so it is an all day affair. We start at 9 AM and quit around 10PM. We pack a lot in and I normally have enough planned that the group could possibly advance a level each game.

Let's see I have a few games running right now so I'll list them by system

Scarred Lands One Campaign(DM): PCs ranges from 12th-15th.
Scarred Lands Two Campaign(DM): 1st on the cusp of 2nd
Dragonstar(DM): 4th for all
Wheel of Time(play): 2nd or 3rd
Star Wars (currently on hiatus)(play): about 5th average
D&D 'Greyhawkish-type' campaign(play): 7th for all

So highest is 15th (one PC only) and the lowest is 1st. That's a pretty good spread!

As a final note, does it really matter as long as we're all having fun? My answer to the question is usually no. The fights are still tough, the game is still fun, and we get to see some really good RP and some hardcore fighting.

Nope, it doesn't matter. I was just curious. The only right way to play D&D is when you're all enjoying yourself. Game on!

Well, I play with two groups.

In the d20 space-fantasy type game, we range from 22 to 25th level. We're nearing the end and that makes me sad.

Another friend is running an Engel game and the PCs are either 8th or 9th level.

21 at the moment the other PCs are all at 19 due to various deaths and missed game sessions over the last two years.

highest level character I ever played was my LVL 6/31 Fighter/Paladin who nuked Cthulhu's avatar in less than 2 rounds. next time you do a poll like this, include 21+ for them epics!

I should have included an Epic option, but poll is for highest current, not highest ever.

Looks like the most common is the 9-12 range. This ties in pretty well with a poll I did a while back on what people's favourite level to play at was, the most votes were in the 7-10 range as I recall.

well, we ran into this thing last session. The tallest character, who was about 6'7" was only about shoulder height on this thing.

One of the players in my game has a 12th level Fighter-Monk who is very viscious due to wise feat selection. Not a wise man or philosopher but a dangerous man with a two-handed sword.
