What's the most expensive RPG product you've bought?

Guide to Glorantha on Kinckstarter, $150. I think the 565 SEK (Swedish Kronon) I paid for Coriolis on Kickstarter is less.

It's probably for the best if I don't think too hard on how much I've spent on pre-painted D&D minis. I've got well over a thousand of the pre-painted minis from the D&D line that ended in 2010.

Thankfully they still get used every session (and my youngest has a ball playing with as well), so I'm not unhappy with my purchase. It's also awesome being able to properly represent most of the monsters that the PCs come up against.

I have not broke $100 this year for minis but. I am buying brick of Icewind dale. Mainly to help out my local game shop because they don't charge us D&D for tables. Current expenses of D&D is $726 but some that is con supplies like room, food, white boards, Etc. I am having to repurchase things like battle maps.

I haven’t bought any prepainted D&D minis in years. There are a few gaps in my collection, but overall I’m pretty happy with what I have now.

OK, I've been quite strict with myself in my answer. The single most expensive (and exclusively RPG - related) purchase would be the Chivalry and Sorcery hardback from last year's Kickstarter. Utterly gorgeous book, and the most extensively and attractively hyperlinked PDF in my collection.

I have made bigger miniatures purchases (single biggest was the Oathsworn "Heroes" KS that set me back over a ton), but it's not exclusively RPG related, so I didn't count it for my poll response.

A few years ago, I gave in and spent several hundred on a rare OOP box set that I'd known of sine it was published and almost immediately disappeared from first-hand markets. After repeated requests to the publisher as to no where I could find a new copy, I dropped the cash for it second hand.

Now years have passed and when I read the books of the game, I haven't a clue as to specifically what I paid for it, because its value to me is evidently worth more. Had a roommate in Boulder Colorado back in the late 90s not stolen my rpg collection, it would be on a shelf with first edition boxes of Masks of Narly and Orient Express. Alas!

That several hundred dollars for a boxed game is about one-third or one-quarter of the most expensive book I ever purchased...

Your post reminds me that I am considering paying $200 for copies of Continuum and its expansion, which I basically gave away in some purge or another.

Dwarven Forge Kickstarter -over $5k - twice... YIKES!

I have scaled way back on DF the last couple of years. Most of my RPG terrain I make with Hirst Arts or 3d print these days.

For one thing - I commissioned a miniature sculpt for a friend of his PC almost twenty years ago - $900. I painted it, but I cannot find the picture.

The Vaessen and Alien kickstarter bundles, at just over US$100 each. I'm looking forward to the books for Vaessen, which should be shipping soon.

Why can't I count my house? 90% of the reason I moved was because my gaming hobby had outgrown my prior home.
