!!!

Now I can't believe that no one posted the Rope of Climbing!

I will admit that the name makes you think its usefull for just one thing but there are plenty of things I can think of to use it for.

Get your beer mug without getting up. Tap someone on the shoulder from across the room. :)

Make it fashion itself into a hammock for sleeping. Make a bench for sitting. Bridge for getting across small chasms or streams.

Very usefull on boats, need an Anchor? Fastens itself to the bottom securely. Need a land line? Makeshift sail?

Gets those low str people almost anywhere that needs climbing. Just tie them to the top of the rope and have it snake forward.

Need to tie someone up? It can do it for you. Sneakily trip someone? I wouldn't think it makes much noise as it moves. (Course thats my opinion.)

And one of the best things about this item is its Cheap! Only 3000 gps. :D

Now you would think it couldn't be this versatile for that amount of money but the description in the SRD makes it very versitile. Just read this:

A 60-foot-long rope of climbing is no thicker than a slender wand, but it is strong enough to support 3,000 pounds. Upon command, the rope snakes forward, upward, downward, or in any other direction at 10 feet per round, attaching itself securely wherever its owner desires. It can unfasten itself and return in the same manner.

Well, thats my thoughts on the matter. Oh and if you combine an Immovable rod or two with the Rope of Climbing it makes an unbeatable pair.

Everburning Torch: Cheap and light is always important. Esopecially one that doesn't easily go out.

Dust or Deck of Illusions: Illusions are very versatile, and not only in combat.

Anything that stores spells

i'm gonna have to go with...

The Bracelet of Friends.

This thing is great. Gets your fellow party members out of all sorts of perilous situations. Been swallowed whole? Bracelet of Friends! Falling down an endless pit? Bracelet of Friends! Captured and in jail? Bracelet of Friends!

The uses are endless and it's pretty cheap.

Bracelet of Friends!

I would say Head of Vecna... destroys entire groups of idiot PCs...

Seriously thou Gloves of Storing are a group favorite... most have one or even two gloves... storing wands, shields, swords and even potions. Just love that snap ye fingers and *Bam*....

Androids suggestion for Bracelet of Friends did make me see another very good angle for that object... only problem is if your swallowed and not your friends... no getting out of the beast gullet then.

Travel Cloak from Magic of Faerun

1200gp for endure elements cold, keeps you dry, makes rations for 3 people per day, 2 gallons of water(or tea) per day, and becomes a one person tent!

No one has mentioned it yet, but I think that the Hat of Disguise is a great item.

*Bam* dressed to meet the king
*Bam* nondescript peasent
*Bam* the new gaurd on duty

and so on and so forth.

Robe of Useful Items.

You don't often need a pack mule while stuck in a dungeon, but when you do, you REALLY DO.

And the self-attatching door is the most awesome way to discourage pursuit ever.

Can someone list some uses of Quaal's feather token (tree)?

Well, since you asked....

Instant ladder (lets see... DC 20 wall, or DC 5 tree right next to it)
Raw materials in a material-less environment (desert, arctic)
Combines will with an animate tree spell
Makeshift boat/bridge.
Battering ram (if you have a wall close enough to stick the token to, nowhere does it say it has to be on the ground)
Ammunition (drop it on someone)
Bluff that you're a druid
A half dosen is an instant oak grove, great for driuds starting out.
Brace a collapsing cave/building
Really expensive food (oak trees have acorns)
Cover
Lookout point in flat lands
Trail marker (bread crumbs disappear too easy)
Save a dying Dryad
Hold Portal spell on really big doors (like castle gates)

Need any more? :)
