Out of curiosity, why? What do these provide that elves and orcs don't? Other than that they are (almost) always been there?

Is it out of curiosity though? It's something he wants (I do too). You have not challenged anyone others desires for this thread except this one. And the moment someone answers, you challenge that too. So, is it really just curiosity, or was that mostly a means to get reasons you intent to try and refute?

What are you accusing me of? Be specific.

I said it in the last sentence you quoted. Is it really just curiosity, or was that mostly a means to get reasons you intend to try and refute?
I'll reiterate and expand: Given the history and concerns around half races, what makes half-elves and half-orcs something worth keeping, above and beyond tradition?

I don't have concerns around half races as it relates to half-elves. So what makes them worth keeping is I like them, or at least I like the half-elf (I don't personally care about half-orc).

That's the identical reason given in every other reply to this thread: people just like what they wish for on their 2026 wishlist. Including the guy who wants 6e.

But the only one you challenged, and now challenged three times in this thread despite it not being a thread about this topic at all, is this one answer.

So, were you "just curious" or are you seeking an excuse to try and correct someone or argue with someone or challenge their preferences in some way?

It's actually a little surprising that WotC hasn't (as far as I know) presented solo options for D&D.
I've always assumed that was part of the appeal of Project Sigil, you can hop on to the VTT and either play a scripted scenario (ala Neverwinter Nights) or find a live DM and play. (In addition to using it as traditional VTT).

But paper solo play rules? IDK. I've never seen that done well except for choose your own adventure style modules, which tend to be simplistic and one-shot.
